It is a great way to stay in touch with friends, and stay up to date with different services around the web. You will also find <a href="http://www.twitter.com/" title="Twitter">Twitter</a> as the subject of various articles within <a href="http://www.webpronews.com/" target="_blank" title="WebProNews">WebProNews</a>, especially within the <a href="http://www.webpronews.com/tag/social-media" target="_blank">social media</a> tag. </p>
<p>To help find friends on this fast-growing service, the <a href="http://www.webpronews.com/" target="_blank" title="WebProNews">WebProNews</a> team has created a directory service called <a href="http://www.twellow.com/" target="_blank" title="Twellow">Twellow</a> (as mentioned in <a href="http://directoryblog.webpronews.com/2009/02/09/twellow-update/" target="_blank">previous posts</a>). This service allows you to browse through various categories to find people who share similar interests as you (e.g. Automotive, Entertainment, Media, Retailing, and much more.) </p>
<p align="center"><a href="http://www.twellow.com/" target="_blank" title="Twellow"><img src="http://directoryblog.webpronews.com/wp-content/themes/webpro/images/thumb_twellow.jpg" title="Twellow" border=0 /></a></p>
<p><a href="http://www.webpronews.com/" title="WebProNews" target="_blank">WebProNews</a> also provides you with another service&#8230; its own <a href="http://www.twitter.com/webpronews">Twitter account</a>. This allows you to keep up to date with WPN stories, video clips, and happenings as they are made available. This is great if you are a Twitterer on the go and like to get your WPN news stories on the fly. </p>

We had a bit of a <a href="http://directoryblog.webpronews.com/2008/06/24/technical-difficulties/">rocky morning</a> yesterday with server issues, but it&#8217;s all in check now, and the approval process has moved forward.</p>
<p>I would like to take this opportunity to point you to another kind of directory (also from <a href="http://www.webpronews.com">WebProNews</a>).  This one is called <a href="http://www.twellow.com">Twellow</a>, and it is specifically for indexing <a href="http://www.twitter.com">Twitter</a> users.</p>
<p><a href="http://www.twellow.com"></a></p>
<p style="text-align: center;"><img class="aligncenter" src="http://images.ientrymail.com/smallbusinessnewz/article_pics/twellow.jpg" alt="" /></p>
<p>It&#8217;s not just a directory. It&#8217;s a <strong>tool </strong>that many Twitter users will find very useful. It&#8217;s been getting <a href="http://www.webpronews.com/topnews/2008/06/24/twellow-the-first-twitter-directory-launched-today">good reviews</a>.  One in particular, <a href="http://mashable.com/2008/06/24/twellow/">from Mashable</a> had this to say about it:</p>
<p><em>So far, my Twitter experience has mostly revolved around adding friends and interesting people I come across on blogs, or simply re-following those that follow me. Twellow allows you to be proactive about finding new and interesting people to follow, and does a great job of presenting the results.</em></p>
<p>That basically sums up the usefulness of Twellow. There are a great deal of categories to browse or search to help you as a Twitter user find new people of interest to follow.</p>
<p>Many are seeing it as a feature that Twitter should&#8217;ve implemented themselves.</p>
<p>Twellow is still in alpha, and there is sure to be updates to it to improve usability, though many are already finding it quite usable.  If you have suggestions for it, feel free to leave <a href="http://www.twellow.com/contact.php">feedback</a>. <em><br />
</em></p>
