In this day in age, we are living in a wireless revolution where everywhere you turn, there is someone either on a cell phone, connecting to the web wirelessly from a laptop, or sending e-mail from a BlackBerry/iPhone. With this in mind, I would like to direct your attention to the WebProNews eBusiness Directory’s category of Mobile Computing.

With the iPhone and BlackBerry dominating how the business world and how eBusiness are being used, this category also provides many resources to help enhance how your business-to-customer interaction is managed.

This past week, a WebProNews eBusiness Directory user asked me for ways to enhance the appearance and visibility of their listing and also asked if I could share them. With this in mind, I would like to dedicate this edition’s content solely to ways in improving the look of your site listing.

• Have Meta Tags – When designing your business’ website, please make sure that you have meta tags (description and/or keywords) in the head of your HTML code. These items help your listings get better results not just in our directory, but other search engines as well. This will also let us know what the focus of your website is, especially if you do not have a description of your business anywhere on the site itself. If you do not have access to edit your business’ website code, please ask your webmaster to see if these can be added.
• Include An Image – To give other directory users a taste of the design/logo of your business’ website, our directory has the functionality to add a small thumbnail image to help represent the visual eye-candy of your website. This can be done straight from our directory’s submission page when you submit your site to us. The guidelines for our acceptable images are: a) Dimensions of 50×50 pixels, and b) filetypes of .jpg, .gif, or .png. Please also make your image legible for other viewers to see.
• Ask Support – If you have not seen your business’ website’s listing listing in a while and have just recently reviewed it and want it to be changed, the WebProNews eBusiness Directory staff are ready and waiting to help you modify the look of your site listing. All that you have to do is to visit our contact page and specify the changes that you would like made to your site listing, and we will promptly change it for you. We can also add an image to your site listing if you so desire.

Social networking is now an integral part of interacting with customers/clients in the eBusiness world, and the WebProNews eBusiness Directory is your one-stop shop for anything social networking related. This directory has tons of social networking resources just waiting for your traffic.

With this in mind, our directory has added two new categories called Social Networking Events and Social Networking Tutorials under our directory’s existing Social Networks category. Just recently, I have seen a growing trend of these types of sites being submitted to our directory, so I decided to create these categories so that other directory viewers can find them with ease.
