This past week, a WebProNews eBusiness Directory user asked me for ways to enhance the appearance and visibility of their listing and also asked if I could share them. With this in mind, I would like to dedicate this edition’s content solely to ways in improving the look of your site listing.

• Have Meta Tags – When designing your business’ website, please make sure that you have meta tags (description and/or keywords) in the head of your HTML code. These items help your listings get better results not just in our directory, but other search engines as well. This will also let us know what the focus of your website is, especially if you do not have a description of your business anywhere on the site itself. If you do not have access to edit your business’ website code, please ask your webmaster to see if these can be added.
• Include An Image – To give other directory users a taste of the design/logo of your business’ website, our directory has the functionality to add a small thumbnail image to help represent the visual eye-candy of your website. This can be done straight from our directory’s submission page when you submit your site to us. The guidelines for our acceptable images are: a) Dimensions of 50×50 pixels, and b) filetypes of .jpg, .gif, or .png. Please also make your image legible for other viewers to see.
• Ask Support – If you have not seen your business’ website’s listing listing in a while and have just recently reviewed it and want it to be changed, the WebProNews eBusiness Directory staff are ready and waiting to help you modify the look of your site listing. All that you have to do is to visit our contact page and specify the changes that you would like made to your site listing, and we will promptly change it for you. We can also add an image to your site listing if you so desire.
