Big Directory News!
By: Chris CrumOK, this news is a couple days old now, but if you haven’t heard, Best of the Web might be buying DMOZ.

Jeremy Schoemaker from Shoemoney posted that the owners of Best of the Web Directory are in talks to buy Dmoz from AOL , saying a “deal could be reached fairly soon.”
iEntry CEO Rich Ord took a look at the story on WebProNews, and sparked all kinds of discussion.
Not everyone believes Schoemaker, but if such a deal goes through, it’s one of the biggest things that has happened in the directory world in a long time.

I’ve never understood why DMOZ has so much weight? Is it because they were first?
