We have created an icon for those of you who are proud to be listed in the WebProNews eBusiness Directory.

We are encouraging people who have been approved and are listed to display this on their site if they wish.  This is by no means a requirement, so don’t feel like you have to, or say, “heh, there’s no way I’m putting that on my site”.

If you don’t want to display it, we don’t want you to. It’s entirely up to you. It’s there if you want it.

If you do choose to display it, linking it back to the directory would be appreciated, but again, this is not required.

If you want to use it, you can simply right-click on the image and save it.

After several requests, for this type of category, I’m pleased to announce that we have added a category to the eBusiness Directory for online classified ads.

This is the first category we have added since the initial launch of the directory, but it will definitely not be the last.

In this category, you will find sites like Craigslist and Oodle, and hopefully some others that you are not so familiar with. The category is young obviously, and I expect it to grow considerably into a great resource of places to not only advertise items you are looking to sell, but to find good deals as well.

I know some of you out there have sites that would fit this category, so feel free to submit them!

We’ve just put up a FAQ page (that’s Frequently Asked Questions), where you may be able to find answers to questions you have.  You can view that here.

If you have a question that is not answered here, please feel free to use the directory contact form. Who knows, maybe your question will end up on the FAQ page for others to benefit from.

The FAQ page will be expanded upon and updated in time as we get more questions that need to be addressed.

On another Directory-related note, we will soon have a “seal of approval” image for owners of accepted sites to add onto their sites if they should so desire. Think of it as kind of a stamp of quality. You will by no means be required to include the graphic to be listed in the directory. It is only an option that you can take advantage of if you wish.  I’ll let you know here on the blog when that is ready.

If the answer is yes, then you should be happy about our new feature that allows you to submit your logo or photo when you submit your site for listing in the eBusiness Directory.

If you have browsed the directory, you have probably already noticed that some of the listings have images by them. Now yours can join them if your site is accepted for inclusion.

The submission form now has a spot to include an image, which must have the dimensions of 50×50 pixels and must be in the .jpg, .gif, or .png format. If your image does not meet these requirements, it will not be accepted.

For those of you who have sites that are already listed, you don’t need to re-submit to have your image included. You can do so by sending me an email with the image file attached. The same formatting requirements apply.

The email must have the words “WebProNews Directory” in the subject line, and you must tell me what category the site is listed in for your image to be included this way. If you do not meet all of these requirements with your email, I can’t promise that I’ll be able to get your image listed.

Obviously, no offensive images will be accepted either. Not that I would expect you to try something like that.
